What sets ACCLAIM Disco apart from all the other DJs/Mobile Discos?

At ACCLAIM we always put 100% into the planning, thought and effort of your event. We'll never forget it’s your special event and we use our 15 years experience of event planning, broadcasting and media experience into making your event as good as it possibly can be.

What will you wear to our function?

We will always arrive at your function well groomed and appropriately dressed. We have a wide range of smart/casual clothes as well as suits and full evening dress. You can be sure that we will always be appropriately dressed for your function.

What happens if you get a ‘better offer’ on the day we have booked?

Once we have received your completed booking form and deposit, we send you a receipt and written confirmation. From then on the day is guaranteed to be yours.

We have a mixture of young and old guests; can you cater for all ages?

Yes, we have a wide variety of music to satisfy all musical tastes. Perhaps our most valuable skill is the ability to read a crowd and play the right kind of music at exactly the right time. Our wealth of experience means that all of your guests, from great -grandparents to nieces will be musically satisfied.

Can I give you a list of songs I want played?
Yes we encourage this; it’s a great help to us to have an idea of what type of music you like.

How far in advance do I need to book?

As with any other form of entertainment, the best acts get booked up early. We would advise you to book us as early as possible as we do not sub contract work out to other discos and only run one show. So, to avoid any disappointment reserve your date as soon as possible.

Will the music be too loud?

At ACCLAIM we believe in entertaining guests rather than deafening them. Music volume should be loud enough to entice people onto the dance floor, but not so loud that guests seated away from the dance floor area cannot easily chat. We have vast experience of entertaining guests of all ages and we’ve always been to find a correct volume level that pleases all. At ACCLAIM we also have a dedicated technical director to ensure our sound quality is always 100%, a consideration many of our competitors overlook.

How would you handle a situation where you were ill and could not attend our function?

At ACCLAIM we have 6 DJs working for us and 1 other who is always kept in reserve in case of emergencies. In over 16 years of providing discos we have never once missed a function. All of our DJs use well maintained vehicles and have full relay breakdown cover in the very rare event that they might need it.

I have a friend who has a friend who can do it cheaper.

We believe that, as with anything in life, you always get what you pay for. Many mobile discos offer an inferior show costing a lot more. We would rather be working on a regular basis at a fair price than doing the occasional job at an extortionate price. At ACCLAIM we promise to give you quality at an affordable price. We believe you will not a find a comparative quality disco at the same price we quote you for the function.

Will you keep talking on the microphone over the music all night?

At the vast majority of functions we find that guests prefer not to hear the DJ cracking corny jokes throughout the evening, and stating the title and artists of every song just played as if he's on a radio station. On the whole we prefer to let the music do the talking, but we do have more vocal DJs available that will give more input if required. Of course even 'silent DJs will make all the key announcements and do dedications and 'birthday shouts' when required to do so.
